Meet Masroor Muzaffar, a young kashmiri poet hailing from a small village Kralpora of District Baramullah.
He is the first boy from his village with Post graduation in Kashmiri subject from Kashmir university and is presently pursuing Ph.D in kashmiri literature from Aligarh Muslim University.
He is a very passionate kashmiri poet and has published his book ” Wavech Baavath(the expression of wind)“in 2017. Besides this he has received much appreciation and interviewed at different sites like Radio kashmir, Television, and other national channels like Gulistan news etc.
He is the youngest poet on whom documentary was made by Indian commission in 2017. His work has been published in more than 10 leading kashmiri journals like Sheeraza, Naag Joie, Vaeth, Anhaar etc. Apart from this he is a writer for some songs sung by the prominent singers of kashmir like Aijaz Rah, Altaf Sahil, Mohiuddin Majroh etc.
Masroor is currently General secretary of Dayaar adab bangil, and he is a member of General council of Adbi Mark as Kamraaz, the largest literary forum of Kashmir valley and is expecting his two books, a novel and a poetry collection to be released very soon.
His great poetry skills has a base in really disheartening loss of the most important person of his life, his mother.Since then he continued writing kashmiri poetry explaining emotions and different perspectives of life and participated at different literary platforms and received appreciation from one and all. He have won many poetry competitions also.
My advice to the aspiring poets is that “they should read poetry intensively ,only then can be quality poets. They must be voracious readers to carve out good poets from them”, Masroor muzaffar.
