From a Engineering student to CEO and founder of a Youth-led NGO named Green Pencil Foundation
Sandy Khanda , from a Engineering student to CEO and founder of a Youth led NGO named Green Pencil Foundation based on India. He born in a small village named Khanda , which is in Jind District of Haryana. He completed his most of schooling from his village and city named Karnal. He was great interest in Social work from his childhood. He comes from a middle class Farmer’s family . For his higher study he moved in Delhi NCR with his family. During his journey from a small village to Metro city , he experienced all problems exists in society till roots. He always analyze the gap between Man and Women, how Indian society neglecting equality. After his move during college days he started writing poetry and articles on social issues that he experienced in real life during his journey from a small village to metro city. He experienced the worst Climate Conditions , air pollution, kids challenge living in slum areas in Delhi NCR. These things turned his mind to become a full time Social Activist. This is how a Student from Engineering background started educating slum kids on weekend basis , started organizing Climate protests, started organizing plantation drives. After completion his Engineering he got offers from top MNC’S but he chossed Social Work by quitting his job. He get published his writeup work in newspaper like Amar Ujala on the real Situation of farmers in India based on real life experiences. He is popular as a writer in hindi and urdu. During his journey he worked with many NGO’S and in 2019 he started his own NGO named Green Pencil Foundation that is totally youth led NGO Working around country and outside the country in Indonesia and Iran as well. Achievements and Awards -For his outstanding work on climate change he Recieved pro planet organization Award by Green Mentors in Bal Bhavan New Delhi in 2020He Recieved Environment Noble award by the Bulland Welfare Society and Municipal Corporation Gurugram in 2019 for his great work towards Environment. In 2020 he received Appreciation Certificate from the World Book of Records London for his work to help covid Affected families and Animals Welfare during covid first wave. In 2021 he is Recieved Certificate of Appreciation from Intellectual Punjabi Chamber Of Commerce for his outstanding work to help people during Covid19 second wave.A person from small village is a Motivation to many. Now Sandy Khanda is the first person in Country who preferred Society Welfare over his Carrier. He dedicated himself full time to serve Society.
Sandy Khanda said his family is loving his work and feels pleased with his accomplishments. Recently he also launched the Free Masters classes for the students from Covid Affected families around the country. These classes are educating the students around the country by the top level educators. Now in the Area of Social work and Writing Sandy Khanda is a big name in India , as he achieved many achievements in a small age. He inspiring the youth all around the country with his Social work.
