Australia vs Tunisia Highlights: Australia end 12-year wait for a win at World Cup, beat Tunisia 1-0 | Football News – Times of India

Striker Mitchell Duke scored as Australia registered a memorable 1-0 win over Tunisia in their FIFA World Cup Group D encounter at the Al Janoub Stadium stadium in Qatar on Saturday. This is Australia’s first win in a World Cup in 12 years.
Duke scored midway through the first half with a glancing header past keeper Aymen Dahmen to give Australia the lead.
The victory snapped Australia’s seven-match winless run at World Cups since they last picked up three points in a victory over Serbia in 2010.
Australia went into the halftime with 1-0 lead and went on to maintain the lead in the second half of the match.
